Hello everyone,
First of all I am very sorry I haven't posted in a long time, as I found out after I posted my first blog post I was stuck on what to write... I have been meaning to post for weeks I just didn't know what to do. I am going to try to post more often.
Onto this blog...
Tidying My Room!
My mum is always going on about me tidying my room, I mean I do but once I have been told to about five or six times. It always have clothes all over the floor, my bed is never made, I hardly ever open my curtains and there is just junk everywhere. I also have a gap at the end of my bed, between the bed and the wall where I just chuck stuff when I don't need it. I pulled a bag out the other day and it's awful but there was a big, dead spider stuck on it. The worst thing was I didn't take the spider off and use that bag, I just put it back and got another one.
I have actually made my bed in this picture and my room isn't actually as bad as it usually is this is just to show what it is like most of the time and yes I am watching Kick-Ass 2. As you can see the clothes In my draws aren't folded at all. Folding my clothes when I am tidying my room is the thing I spend most of my time on, I fold them perfectly and then soon enough after I am trying to find something to wear and it's all messed up again.
It's a little hard to explain how I fold my clothes but this is the easiest way I have found which both
A. A way I can see my clothes easily, and
B. A way that doesn't really take up a lot of space.
So basically as you can see in the picture I have layed out my item so it is flat with the right side facing down, I them fold both sides In (to the crease of the shoulder, if that makes sense). Finally, I then fold in half.
The thing I find the easiest on how to find your clothes is to keep them in piles, jumpers, tops and vests etc. I then also have my trousers draw which I place the items into piles, jeans/tracksuit bottoms, skirts and shorts and then leggings.
I have all of my draws set out in how I wear my clothes. The small top left is my long winter pyjamas, top left is short summer pyjamas, top big is my underwear, then goes to tops, to trousers. My bottom draw is for my DVD's and school work.
The rest of my room is pretty simple:
~ Wardrobe: clothes hung up depending on how often I wear them. I also have shoeboxes that I put stuff in and small plastic storage containers that I put my belts in and my school tie in.
~ Dressing Table: On my dressing table I have two drawers, one drawer I have all the make-up I don't use all the time, the make-up I do use goes in my Zoella make-up bag and in my other drawer I have a small box that I have make-up sponges and ear buds. I also have nail polishes in there. I use old Yankee Candle pots to store my hair bands in.
So, wrapping up. I hope you have liked my second blog post, I also hope that you may use some of the storage ideas I have used for your benefit aswell. I know that I have trouble in keeping my room tidy but using small boxes and containers are really helpful.
Until next time,
Poppy
