Hello all,
Just a quick little starter if you haven't seen my first vlog then head over to my YouTube channel. I think it was actually alright for my first time vlogging, I went to Whitstable Beach with my friend Liv.
So onto the main post, University so far, I've been here for almost 2 months and it still seems so surreal, living away from home, not being in school all day, every day for 5 days a week its weird to be honest with you.
As I said in my last post it really is a massive step into adulthood and at this rate I think I'm going to be living with my parents for the rest of my life... sorry mum.... sorry dad. I've gone from having dinner cooked for me and having my washing done to being the classic uni student making pasta for dinner and doing my washing (big news, I now know how to turn on a washing machine).
I miss my brother and sister incredible amounts and I hate not seeing them everyday but I am now 19 and I just need to realise the fact that for the next 3 years I am only going to be able to FaceTime them and see them for only a couple of weeks each year.
Moving onto university itself the workload isn't actually as much as I thought it was going to be, I thought my brain was going to be overflowing with assignments but its not. I have two essays to complete that are both due at the beginning of December, one for marketing thats a 2500 word essay and one for Tourism thats a 2000 word blog (I should be good at that one... hopefully). Adding to that I'm only on campus 3 days a week for a total of 12 hours a week. Although I do believe I have an exam in January or February, but on the plus side I goto Tenerife on the 20th of January for a week for my course which should be really fun.
Thats really it for today people.
Until next time,
Poppy x

Welcome Back
Hello all,
Welcome back to my blog, I should probably be saying that to myself too.... its been a while. I am hoping this isn't going to be a long post but I have a feeling it will be.
The past month has be hectic for me, I am now a first year student at University and I am living away from home in a city called Canterbury, which isn't too far from my home and family.
Living away from home is a big step into adulthood and being 18 makes it feel so different, I am now having to live in a flat with 4 other people, do my own cooking, cleaning, washing and food shopping. Before moving here I had no idea how to turn the washing machine without having someone tell me how to do it (I've just realised how bad that makes me sound when I am coming up to my 19th birthday at the end of the month)
I have 3 days a week at Uni which is great, I have one day where I am on campus 9am-3pm, another day where I am there 3pm-7pm and the final day when I am there 9am-11am. The time I'm not at uni I will go into town, spend some time with friends or just chill back at my flat doing some uni work.
Changing the subject......
The reason I wanted to start a blog was because to people who don't know me you'd see that at first I don't have a great deal of confidence, creating a blog has given me the opportunity to speak out to other people and tell them my interests, hobbies and just other things about my life.
However, the problems I face with this is not thinking that my content is good enough or just not being able to think about what to write/post. But now I am putting my foot down and I am not going to let these problems get in my way, this is the same for my YouTube channel, I am going to start uploading on that again and improving myself along the way. Over the next few days I am going to start filming and editing some videos to upload onto my channel with the first one being my morning routine, specifically before uni. I will also write down in a blog post what I do with the product list too.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my welcome back blog and you look forward to my content to come.
Until next time,
Poppy x

My First Holiday Without My Parents
Hello All,
Yes I know it has been a very long time since I last posted..... and when I said I would be posting about my holiday to Turkey.
I am finally doing the post!
Like before my blogger hasn't been letting me post and many of the photographs that I uploaded haven't been properly loading but I have it all sorted now.
Day 1 of the holiday was travelling from London Gatwick to Dalaman Airport, my mum was kind enough to take me and my friend to the airport at 3am, there we had breakfast and chilled before we needed to board the plane.... 4 hours on the plane and we landed in Turkey woohoo!!! The rest of that day then consisted of unpacking and chilling at the beach and walking around the surrounding areas.
While we were there we went on a boat trip, went to the waterpark and my favourite one of all met dolphins!! This has been something I've wanted to do since I was little and Im not going to lie to you.... I cried...... the whole time. It was such an amazing experience and will be one of the experiences I would never ever forget.

Many of the other days involved sitting by the pool, shopping and taking outfit photographs on the balcony.

Another big step into my future...
Hello All,
It has been a while since I last posted, if you follow my instagram you will know that my laptop went into Apple to be repaired and I have now finally got it back, meaning I can give you all an update.
So, travelling update...
On the 28th June, me and my best friend are going to be travelling to Turkey for a week. I am excited for this but also nervous as this is my first time spending a week away without my parents. Adding to that my Australia savings.... currently at a grand total of £3000!!! That its pretty much the amount that I need to go there, which is great that I have all of that money 3 years before I am even going.
Anyway, that isn't what this post is about, as you all know I am starting university in September, I have now made the choice to move out and live at uni, I know it is only a 30 minute journey from home but it is an experience that I am crazily excited for and I can't wait for all of the experiences that I will face during my time there. I think this will be an amazing opportunity for me and all of my family are pushing me to do it. The only thing I will find hard is not seeing my brother and sister everyday, but I am hoping I can FaceTime them everyday before they goto bed.
I move in a couple of weeks before freshers too so I will get used to everything before all of the hard work starts (including using a washing machine).
Count Down:
Holiday: 22 Days
Moving into my flat @ uni: 101 Days
Until Next Time

Inspiring Myself
Good Evening everyone,
If you have looked at my last couple of posts you would have seen that I want to travel the world. Well... that's in 3 years. Until then I want it to be like a dream, I wanted to create something that would inspire me to save my money, a goal almost.
When I get paid on Friday I am going to buy one of the money tins that cant be opened unless you have a tin opener, even then they are still a bitch to open. Anyway, after looking through my trusty friend Pinterest I have found a couple of designs that I would like to have on the outside of my travel jar. I do also have a savings account, the jar is just for the useless change.
I have then also created a travel mood board or inspiration wall, thank you Dad, for printing out about 50 pages of colour photos for me.
On this wall I have a map of the world, this I would then colour each time I travel somewhere. I am setting a high goal with this and say I would have liked to have traveled to everywhere by the time I am 50.... 32 years... that's enough time to travel to and I've been to about 7 places... (I did one of the travel checklists online)
Okay, maybe I won't have traveled everywhere in 32 years.
Also on this wall is tonnes of photos of places I hope to go to in the world. I will then also add my own photographs at some point too like I said before I want to cover up my ugly pink wall paper.
Adding to that I really want to get a polaroid camera, they are just so expencive ahhh.
Attached are some photos of my wall and the things on it.

First Stop.... Australia!!!
For those of you who read my post from yesterday, you will know that once I finish university I would like to travel the world.
Australia has been somewhere that I would like to go to for years and I have found a way I can spend 3 weeks there and travel to more than 5 places.
I have created an itinerary for myself and I am now researching how much money I would need to save over the next 3 years before I start my journey with help from my trusty friend Pinterest.
3 Weeks In Australia:
🗺 Days 1 to 3: I will start my journey in Sydney and this would mean that I would need to get a plane there and many of them you make a stop. Once there I would like to go to the Opera House, Walk around Circular Quay, Explore the Rocks District, Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Visit Bondi Beach, Goto Sydney Tower and so much more.
🗺 Days 4 to 6: My next stop is then Cairns, here I will swim in the lagoon, go on a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef, go white water rafting and so much more.
🗺 Days 7 to 9: I will then travel to Port Douglas and visit the Daintree Rainforest.
🗺 Day 10: Alice Springs, I love the name of this place.
🗺 Days 11 to 15: On day 11, I will travel from Alice Springs to Glen Helen Homestead. On Day 12 I will visit Kings Canyon and then on days 13 to 15, I will go to Uluru where I will watch the sunrise and sunset and one thing that I am really excited for and that is riding a camel and may I add during sunset. (Amazing photo opportunity right there).
🗺 Days 16 to 18: Great Ocean Road. This is a long one so be prepared. I will visit Torquay, Anglesea, Aireys Inlet, Lorne to Apollo Bay, Otwyas National Park, Kennett River, The Gibson Steps, London Arch and The Bay of Islands.
🗺 Days 19 to 21: My final days, Melbourne. Here I will ride the city circle tram, go shopping, go to China town and so much more to the point where this post could be turned into a book.
I know I will end up adding things to this list the same as the list of places that I want to go to. I am going into town today so I am going to go to a couple of travel agents and get brochures for some of the places I want to go to.
I have a huge wall full of pink wallpaper that I absolutely hate so I will cover that with photographs and a mood board of the places that I want to go to. be prepared for a post on that.
Until next time,
Poppy

Finally planning my life.
I have now finally realized how bad I have been at posting on this blog, I struggle with finding things to write and today I have finally realized what I want to do with my life and that is travel.
In September I am going to start my 3-year tourism course at Canterbury University and during the time between now and 2021, I am going to save as much money as I can to do what I want to do and travel the world. For my uni course, I am going to Malta and Tenerife so that's two places I can tick off of my list.
I have started writing a list of all the places that I would like to go to and it is pretty long.
Because I want to travel I have been thinking of ways in which I can share my experiences with people, some of these ways include Instagram and its stories feature, Snapchat, Blog posts on specific places and for myself doing a Bullet Journal- which after flicking through Pinterest for countless hours I have found many ways I can write about my travels.
I haven't been to many places as I am only 18, however, the places I have been to were amazing including Italy, Cornwall, and Turkey to name a few.
Me and my best friend are planning to go to Paris this year and when I went there in 2016 I absolutely loved it.
My list of places that I would like to go is pretty long and I know for a fact I will keep adding destinations to it. Now I know my list has some places more than once, that is just because I want to go to specific places there.
So for starters, my list consists of:
🗺 Magnetic Island-Queensland, Australia
🗺 All over Australia
🗺 Rome
🗺 Vienna
🗺 Rio
🗺 Venice
🗺 Amsterdam
🗺 Angkor Wat-Cambodia
🗺 Machu Picchu-Peru
🗺 Egypt
🗺 India
🗺 China
🗺 Kjeragbolten- Norway
🗺 Trolltunga- Norway
🗺 Cambodia
🗺 The Dead Sea
🗺 Chile
🗺 Bolivia
🗺 Niagra Falls
🗺 Gullfoss Falls Iceland
🗺 Maldives
🗺 Santorini (Again)
🗺 Bora Bora
🗺 Bali
🗺 Maui
🗺 America- Including the Route 66
🗺 Sri Lanka
🗺 Malaysia
🗺 Botswana
🗺 Russia
🗺 Thailand
🗺 Greece
Well, that is my list, for now, once the list has been updated I will write another post. Until then.
See you next time,
Poppy
